GG Hospitality have announced that the opening date of Hotel Football and The Old Trafford Supporters Club will be pushed back until 2 March 2015.
Located opposite Manchester United’s OId Trafford stadium, it was originally due to open this December, but the much anticipated opening will now take place early next spring. A spokesperson for GG Hospitality said “We have worked closely with the contractor every step of the way and we have decided to delay the opening of the hotel until 2 March so we can further develop unique features, beyond our original plans.
From now until the opening in March, we will be enhancing the conference and banqueting facilities and will also be extending our rooftop 5-a-side football pitch and event space by over 50%. We want to ensure the supporters and hotel guests have an unforgettable experience when they visit us and this additional preparation time will ensure this. It’ll be worth the wait.”
The hotel aims to boast a number of unique features making it a go-to destination for fans, families, business users and tourists. It will also be home to The Old Trafford Supporters Club.
