HACHÉ, the upscale London burger restaurant, has this week embarked on a month of celebrations to mark the company’s tenth anniversary.
Launched in 2004, Haché earned its place in the hearts of Londoners and visitors to the Capital alike, thanks to a unique offering of exciting, edgy burgers served in stylish restaurant surroundings.
Rapid expansion planned
A decade on, the business is poised to begin a rapid roll-out which could see its four existing restaurants joined by a further 20 before the end of 2018. The expansion plan has already begun with work on a fifth site, in Balham, due to be completed late 2014.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary, co-founders Berry and Suzie Casey have planned a range of activities. Berry explains, “This milestone is a wonderful time to thank the people who’ve helped us to get where we are today. We’re going to be running a number of promotions aimed at existing customers, including the chance to win a trip to New York City.
Reaching out to a new generation of burger lovers
“The anniversary is also a great opportunity for us to reach out to a new generation of burger lovers, and introduce them to our unique offer. For them, we’ve created the new ‘Haché Burger’ which sums up the brand on a plate thanks to its imaginative combination of flavours and superb ingredients that are second to none.”
Haché continues to be a family-run business with a total of 100 employees. The most senior addition to the management team is Ashley Brown who was appointed as Operations Director in 2009 after successfully running restaurants in his home area of Dorset.
Ashley has helped build solid management floor and kitchen teams. The Executive Head Chef, and his right hand man have been responsible for producing innovative and varied Chef’s Special including bestsellers like the Louisiana peanut butter burger, the Duck burger and recently the delicious Sunday Roast burger featuring a Yorkshire Pudding instead of the bun.
Seeking an investor
Berry adds, “Haché is in pole position for growth and we are currently seeking an investor to partner the roll-out. Our goal is to be operating 20 sites within four years, and we’re looking beyond London to other parts of the UK and even further afield to make this happen.
“Haché already enjoys an international reputation, with fans across the USA and Europe who continually enquire as to when we plan to open in their markets. I can certainly see our second decade being just as interesting as the first.”
