Pentahotels has brought an exciting new hotel concept to the north with the launch of its first Scottish destination in Inverness on 6 November.
Boasting a unique relaxed style and a plan to disrupt the bland norm of hotel living, Penta marked the opening of its new Inverness hotel – the sixth to open in the UK since 2013 – with a star-studded launch party.
Headlined by one of the UK’s best loved boy bands, Blue, with support from Monica Michael of recent XFactor fame, over 200 guests joined staff to officially mark the opening of this new generation of hotel-living.
The launch succeeded in introducing guests to the Pentahotel concept, which has been welcomed with open arms in other parts of the UK, and hopes to find the same acclaim amongst loyal customers in Scotland.
Alastair Thomann, managing director of Pentahotels Europe said: “We have always wanted a presence in Scotland as we believe the people, and the visitors, know what they want when they travel.Our concept is new and insists on a hotel stay which is relaxed, oozing a casual chic that is both welcoming and comfortable.

The signature Pentalounge at the new Pentahotel in Inverness has been creatively designed by Italian star architect Matteo Thun.
Boasting 90 rooms, the hotel also has a bar and dining area, both of which are open to the public. And guests looking for the usual drafty old lobby, expecting that even colder wait in line to check in, won’t find it here. Pentahotel believes in a more informal atmosphere, on arrival with visitors greeted in the unique mixed-use ‘Pentalounge’, checking in at the bar.
Judging by the many new ‘Pentapals’ made at the opening of the new Scottish hotel, Pentahotels’ ethos of mixing ‘fun with functionality’ hits the spot: it has already acquired loyal customers the world over from Bejing to Berlin, and now, Inverness.
