The search is on for an outstanding licensee to represent the industry, as the BII Licensee of the Year Award 2015 is officially launched today 24 November.
This will be the 30th year that the BII has celebrated excellence in the licensed hospitality industry through this prestigious award. With a four stage judging process, this is the most rigorously judged and longest running award for licensees in the UK.
The BII’s Licensee of the Year Award recognises the publican who demonstrates the highest levels of business acumen and commitment to staff development as well as showing a passion for the trade. In addition, the winner will be a fitting ambassador for the industry.
BII Chief Executive, Tim Hulme launched this year’s award saying;
“BII is delighted to be able to provide this opportunity for licensees to showcase themselves and their business as well as learning from current best practice across the industry. Every year we see interesting and innovative business ideas coming forward and with ever more licensees entering the competition I am excited to see what this year’s award will bring.”
Judging takes place over a six month period, during which judges will visit the business premises of those selected as semi-finalists. The process culminates with finalists attending an intensive interview in London with a panel of industry heavyweights. The ultimate winner will be announced at the BII Summer Event on 2 June at The Artillery Garden at The HAC, Moorgate, London.
