This luxury coffee table book draws together a collection of rarely-seen images of some of the most iconic stars of film and popular culture gracing the red carpets and premieres from 1925 to the present day. Alongside dazzling images of Leicester Square’s buildings and billboards through the ages, the book charts the area’s creation, transformation and more recent regeneration.
Each turn of the page reveals another photographic treasure from cinematic history on the square. Captured in stunning detail, these create a rich visual memoir of the area and its most enchanting moments. Alongside each photograph readers will find anecdotes that elucidate the story behind each scene and the faces within it, and how they contributed to Leicester Square’s fascinating history.
