PizzaExpress introduces Autumn menu

On 7 October, PizzaExpress launched its Autumn menu including three new pizzas and a mouth-watering calzone as well as two low-calorie Leggera dishes.  Along with new starters and four tempting desserts, the Autumn menu also sees the return of cheesy Dough Balls.

New drinks are also joining the menu including Bollinger Champagne.

STARTERS

Melanzanine V GF N £5.45

A perfectly proportioned, freshly made, starter-size version of the classically Italian, Melanzane, served in a miniature earthenware pot.  The dish contains layers of marinated aubergine, passata, mozzarella, basil and Gran Moravia cheese and is the perfect dish for wet and windy Autumn days.

Leggera Gambaretti Piccante GF (when served without dough sticks) £5.65

Containing fewer than 210 calories, this dish of juicy king prawns in a passata sauce, which is accented with chilli flakes, garlic, santos tomatoes and spinach, and finished with fresh parsley.  Dough sticks can be added for £1.55.

Dough Balls Formaggi V £4.20

The famous Dough Balls rolled and baked with Gran Moravia cheese and served with our signature garlic butter – delectable.

CALZONE

Calzone Classico £13.95

The latest version of this classic folded pizza is not for the fainthearted.  It’s filled with four meats – Coppa, Finnochiono, Milano and pepperoni – as well as baby mozzarella, santos tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella.  A sprinkling of Gran Moravia cheese brings the crust to life, meaning you won’t want to leave a single bite.

ROMANA PIZZAS

Melanzane V GF* £12.70

A classic, Italian recipe, this pizza is served on a thin and crispy Romana base, which is covered in a spicy Arrabbiata sauce then topped with marinated slices of aubergine, baby mozzarella and a sprinkling of Gran Moravia cheese.  After baking, it’s finished with fresh basil and more Gran Moravia cheese.

Carbonara GF* £13.15

Think comfort food.  Pancetta, garlic oil, mozzarella and Gran Moravia cheese top this béchamel based pizza along with a free-range egg in the centre, cooked the way you like it.  It’s finished with fresh parsley and is simply delicious.

Mare Rossa GF* £13.70

Bringing together a classic combination of sophisticated flavours, the Mare Rossa is topped with juicy prawns, oak roasted peppered salmon, tenderstem broccoli, spinach and mozzarella.  It comes on a lobster bisque, béchamel and passata base, with a pinch of dried chilli flakes. Finished with fresh parsley.

DESSERTS

Leggera Chocolate Cheesecake £5.75

At less than 255 calories, this rich, smooth and creamy chocolate & mascarpone torte is a simple portion of guilt-free heaven.

Honeycomb Cream Slice £5.90

Salted caramel lovers look no further.  This dessert includes sweet honeycomb and chocolate pieces in a light cream layer of salted caramel on a crumbly biscuit base.

Baked Vanilla Cheesecake £5.80

Created for the cheesecake purist, this is a light and creamy slice of perfection on a biscuit base.  The sweetness of the cheesecake is balanced perfectly with the relative tartness of a fruit coulis.

Primo Gelato £4.65

Even creamier gelato is joining PizzaExpress’ menu and there are two flavours to choose from –Banoffee or Tiramisu.
