Traditional winter dishes and delicious desserts are the focus of the new menu at Stonegate Pub Company owned Classic Inns.

The 70-strong chain is adding a range of new dishes to the menu including melt-in-the-mouth Corned Beef Hash with Fried Egg & Parma Ham starter (pictured above); Rioja Beef & Chorizo Slow Cooked Pie, a twist on a classic with slow cooked beef in rich Rioja and Chorizo sauce; Thai Green Chicken Curry, served with Pak Choi, green peppers and spinach, in a rich Thai flavoured curry sauce, with coconut cream and tasty Cottage Pie with minced beef, carrot, leek, onion and red wine served with seasonal vegetables.

Upgraded beef burgers

In another innovation customers will be given the opportunity to upgrade their beef burgers from 7oz to 9oz. The burgers – which include the Classic Burger; Smoked Mozzarella & Bacon Burger; Black & Blue Burger which is a beef burger topped with mushrooms; and Dolcelatte blue cheese and the pulled pork burger – are all served in a brioche bun, with beef tomato, mayonnaise, iceberg lettuce, gherkin, a pot of tomato & jalapeno relish and chips. There is also the chance to upgrade the chips to sweet potato fries or potato wedges.

Focus on roasts

There is also a new focus on the all day Sunday Roasts with a choice of British Topside of Beef; British free-range Pork Loin and Norfolk Turkey served with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and parsnips and seasonal vegetables.

For those with a sweet tooth the Irish Cream and Amaretti Cheesecake, swirled with rich caramel sauce and decorated with an amaretto biscuit and Treacle Tart, served warm with sticky treacle filling and custard, are a tasty treat.
