Local “Mumpreneur” Reaches Finals of National Business Awards

By James Russell: Local “Mumpreneur” Reaches Finals of National Business Awards

October 2, 2014

Local mum, and entrepreneur, Angela Roach, has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life. The mother of 2 from Westonbirt, runs The Hotel Nanny; a unique business focusing on providing professional nanny care for the luxury hotel market.

Angela has been shortlisted for the Unique Business category, which is open to businesses that spotted a gap in the market and took full advantage. Having launched The Hotel Nanny 3 years ago she set about organising a business partnership for the highly professional nanny care service that could work with and alongside the luxury hotel industry in a more proactive business savvy approach. Angela hopes she has what it takes to walk away with the final prize.

As well as being shortlisted for this category, Angela is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2014, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize.

Having reached the finals of The Mumpreneur Awards, Angela said “I am delighted to have been recognised for how unique The Hotel Nanny business model is and I am thrilled that the judges saw this out of the thousands of entries they receive – I’m truly thrilled with the news”

Judging Angela’s entry will be a panel of top entrepreneurs but she’ll have to wait until 8th November, when the winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference and Awards, being held at the Heart of England Centre in Warwickshire. This event is open to all parents who juggle family and business, and also for those interested in taking the plunge and starting up. Tickets prices start at just £49, and can be purchased through the Mumpreneur UK website, where you’ll find a whole range of resources and information for business mums www.mumpreneuruk.com
