Drake & Morgan, which currently operates seven large-scale bars and restaurants in London, has named Dylan Murray – currently of Soho House Group UK – as its new Operations Director.
Joining Drake & Morgan in January, Dylan – who is the UK Director of Operations for Soho House Group UK – is responsible for the day-to-day running of 17 sites with an expected combined turnover of £90m in 2014. Dylan leads and mentors a team of 17 General Managers, as well as fronting the Support Operations Division and has been instrumental in the expansion of Soho House Group UK, which has grown from 8 to 17 sites, during his time. This ensures he is well-positioned to oversee the next stage in Drake & Morgan’s growth, which includes two more sites in the first quarter of 2015 alone.
Prior to Soho House Group UK, Dylan was the Managing Director of his own business, consisting of a restaurant – earning him runner-up for ‘Best Local Restaurant’ eating and drinking award with Time Out – as well as two gastro-pubs. Other previous roles have included General Manager at the five-star One Aldwych Hotel, and at the high-end Landmark Hotel, launching his career as a Chef De Rang before being promoted to Restaurant Manager.
Reporting to Managing Director, Jillian MacLean, Dylan will play a key role in the continued growth of Drake & Morgan. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations, as well as enhancing the service and delivering the planned roll-out for the company
