CGA Peach has revealed the shortlists for the 2014 Hero Awards—the annual celebration of the brands and individuals at the forefront of this dynamic industry.
The shortlists feature 48 different brands and six individuals vying for a dozen different categories that cover the spectrum of the eating and drinking out sector. The winners will be presented following this year’s CGA Peach 2020 Conference in London on 18 November—an event that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
Icon Awards
As well as these Awards, the evening will bring the presentation of CGA Peach’s Icon Awards, given to individuals who have left a significant mark on the out of home eating and drinking sector. There are no shortlists for these Awards.
CGA Peach’s Peter Martin says: “The CGA Peach Hero & Icon Awards have honoured dozens of innovative and energetic brands over the years, and the quality of entrants and competition are stronger than ever this time round. We congratulate all our nominated companies and look forward to celebrating their achievements on 18 November.”
Industry Heroes; Consumer Heroes
The Hero Awards fall into two categories, each with six categories: the Industry Heroes and the Consumer Heroes. Industry Hero Awards are voted for by the VIPs of the industry—more than 170 senior executives in an exclusive online poll in September 2014. Consumer Hero Awards are voted for by the great British public, with 20,000 people participating in CGA Peach’s quarterly BrandTrack survey—the most authoritative data yet of consumers’ habits and attitudes to brands.
