Thompson Hotels, a leading portfolio of boutique properties, has appointed Andrew Coney as General Manager of Belgraves in London.
With an impressive 25 years of experience in the UK hospitality industry, Coney has worked for prestigious brands such as InterContinental, Le Meridien, and De Vere Hotels.
Coney joins Belgraves having opened and managed the award winning InterContinental London Westminster where he was responsible for a team of 180.
He began his career as Deputy General Manager of Mayfair’s Westbury Hotel, going on to hold General Manager positions in a number of hotels including Slaley Hall in Northumberland, London’s Cavendish and Waldorf hotels, and opened The Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa, York’s first five star property.
Commenting on his new appointment, Coney said, “I’m very excited to be joining the fantastic team at Belgraves, the first transatlantic outpost for the innovative Thompson Hotels brand.
