Stonegate launches loyalty card giving MORE

By James Russell: Stonegate launches loyalty card giving MORE

September 18, 2014

We all love to receive presents and rewards and no one more so than students. This is why Stonegate Pub Company has launched a brand new loyalty scheme, which gives a whole lot more: ten times more in fact!

The new scheme, which has been introduced in time for the freshers return, is being rolled out across over fifty of Stonegate’s businesses.

10 points for every £1 spent

The scheme offers all customers ten points for every £1 spent on food or drink and can be redeemed at the bar when 200 points have been reached, equating to £2 to spend. Richard Bruce, Stonegate Pub Company’s Marketing Director:

“Our loyalty card gives our customers exceptional value, in fact ten times more return than they would get from other schemes in the retail market such as Nectar or Tesco Clubcard. And unlike others in the pub industry we are allowing spending on drinks as well as food to be included.”

MORE loyalty scheme

Known as the ‘MORE’ loyalty scheme it is available as a card, or as a mobile app via android or the app store.

Customers who sign up for the free-to-join MORE scheme will be rewarded with 100 points for registering, a further 50 points for providing their twitter handle, and 5 points for each tweet.  Every customer who joins will receive complimentary gifts and bonus points over the first eight weeks to drive engagement, after which a regular e-newsletter will be sent out containing points balances, free giveaways and the opportunity to earn bonus points.

13 student businesses

The launch of ‘MORE loyalty’ follows a summer investment of £2.3m across Stonegate’s student business, which now stands at thirteen. Most recent to open are The Warehouse in Huddersfield, The Library in Durham, The Mailbox in Lincoln, The Faraday in Epsom, The Graduate in York, The Soarpoint in Leicester, The Roundabout in Plymouth, The Footage in Manchester and The Hope and Anchor in Liverpool.

Each offer a range of features than set it apart from other pub operations such as super-fast free broadband, USB ports and plugs on tables for charging, loan of phone chargers, a grab and go takeaway counter, free ATM services, complimentary printing and secret DJ, alongside a selection of craft beers.
