Playboy Club, London is celebrating after its bar, Salvatore’s, was named London’s favourite nightspot out of 1176 different venues in the city, on ratings website TripAdvisor.
Salvatore’s Bar, which is named after cocktail legend Salvatore ‘The Maestro’ Calabrese who heads it up, opened in 2011 and has gone from strength to strength, including winning “Best Bar” at the London Lifestyle Awards.
Highlights of the glamorous bar, which is open to club members and non-members alike, include a sophisticated, adults only Afternoon Tea with a twist – four specially created Te’Freddo teapot cocktails served by Playboy Club’s iconic Bunnies; Salvatore’s unique mobile martini bar, which guarantees a perfect martini everytime and of course, Salvatore’s Legacy – at £5,500 this is one of the most expensive and oldest cocktails in the world. Salvatore has created this using some of the rarest bottles in his outstanding collection, which is housed at Playboy Club. Featuring a 1788 Cognac, Curaçao from the late 1860s, a 1770 Kummel Liqueur and Angostura Bitters from 1915, this is one cocktail for the true drinks aficionado.
Salvatore commented on the TripAdvisor accolade:
“This is a fantastic achievement for the bar and my wonderful, dedicated team.
