Porkka UK has now extended its range of temperature monitoring and recording devices, thereby reducing the risk of human error/forgetfulness and facilitating compliance with legislation.
The ‘entry-level’ Porkka XDL -01 Temperature Recorder can be supplied with, or retrofitted to, any Porkka modular cold room and set to record temperatures at whatever time intervals are required. The data is stored for analysis and can be easily downloaded to a USB memory stick for archiving or transfer to a PC.
Offering a higher level of functionality is the Porkka Remote Temperature Recording System, for use on cold rooms, cabinets and counters. This uses a Wi-Fi connection to deliver data to a ‘Porkka Hub’ which can be accessed remotely from a PC, tablet or smartphone. In addition, it will relay alerts to up to 5 pre-programmed mobile ‘phone numbers to warn of imminent temperature or unit failure.
“As companies increase their stock levels in the run-up to Christmas and New Year the financial risk of any failure in their cold storage plant becomes critical,” observed Porkka UK Sales & Marketing Director Bob Littler. “Introducing these monitoring and logging technologies helps to mitigate that risk and improve peace of mind.”
