Last night saw the grand opening of Sports Bar & Grill Piccadilly Circus on Rupert Street, the restaurant group’s fifth London venue and first prime venture into the West End.
Over 175 guests attended the launch party, many from the sporting world, including former Scottish footballer and broadcaster Alan Brazil, former England footballer and sports pundit Mark Bright, Dutch former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Olympic Gold medalist rower Mark Hunter, former Arsenal footballer Ray Parlour, motorcycle riders Leon Haslem and Alex Lowes and Channel 4 NFL host Nat Coombs, who toasted the new bar and restaurant with drinks whilst enjoying a selection of classic American snacks including mini burgers, cod fish finger stacks and beer battered prawns.
Guests last night were clearly enjoying the challenge of multi-tasking: in this case, enjoying the food and drink, keeping an eye out for the celebrities, and watching the sport on the screen scattered throughout!
Great location
Located a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, the two floor venue seats 150 diners and is the perfect spot for enjoying a few drinks and a snack or main meal whilst soaking up the best live sport action. The bar and restaurant is also available for group and corporate bookings.
Choice of sports, drinks and food
Sports Bar & Grill Piccadilly Circus broadcasts a wide variety of British, European and American live sports daily on its 20 large Sony plasma screens, including NFL, NBA, Serie A, Bundesliga, Formula 1, premiership and local league football.
Alongside the extensive wine, draft and bottle beer selection, sports fans and diners can tuck into a varied food menu whilst enjoying their favourite sports with dishes to satisfy all hunger levels, including sharing platters, traditional beer battered fish & chips, award winning burger and breakfasts, for those early morning games. Using freshly sourced ingredients, all dishes are prepared in the bar’s open kitchen.
A timetable of sporting events is available from Sports Bar & Grill’s website, with daily alerts via Twitter and Facebook.
