SW London welcomes Eelbrook

28 July saw the launch of Eelbrook, a new casual fine dining space that brings something unique to south west London. Nestled in the corner of Fulham’s Eel Brook Common, this all-day eatery will offer a diverse menu created by Brett Barnes, one of the capital’s most talented and dynamic young chefs.

Eelbrook’s light and airy interiors are the creation of restaurant specialist Haruo Morishima (Wagamama, Hakkasan, Yauatcha) working in collaboration with architectural designer Kok Loong Wong.

Full length doors open up to the common, seamlessly fusing the indoor and outdoor spaces, whilst a covered, heated terrace will offer a delightful, year-round al fresco dining area.

Eelbrook will specialise in dishes made from the best of British ingredients with European and North African influences. Brett, whose impressive portfolio includes stints at Soho’s coolest hotspot, Duck Soup; Michelin starred Fäviken (one of Zagat’s top ten restaurants in the world), Arbutus and Mark Hix, will be assisted by equally talented sous chef Aidan Brooks, who in turn trained in Spain under internationally renowned chefs such as Carles Abellan (Comerç 24).

Eelbrook’s menu features an array of small plates – including salt cod brandade with seaweed bread and pork cheek croquettes with burnt onion sauce – ideal for lunchtime dining or for sharing. Starters will comprise standouts like clams, cockles, chorizo & fino & aioli grilled with tomato & dry sherry.

Onto the main courses and diners can indulge in delights such as cod confit with crab, courgette flowers & crab sauce; grilled salt marsh lamb rump served on fresh coco beans & sauce vierge and ricotta & nettle gnudi, with peas, broad beans & marjoram. Perfect for groups meanwhile is a trio of delicious mains to share: 900g grilled rib steak, whole salt baked brill and plateau de fruits de mer.

Eelbrook will also be offering a full breakfast/brunch menu, while its extensive array of fresh juices and smoothies are bound to find favour with the boot campers who train on the common each morning.

Eelbrook will be offering a 10% discount off all food and drink throughout the whole of August.

Eelbrook will open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 11pm and Sunday from 10am to 10pm.
