South Queensferry’s Boathouse restaurant for sale

By James Russell: South Queensferry’s Boathouse restaurant for sale

August 4, 2014

The Boathouse, the bistro and seafood restaurant located on the banks of the Firth of Forth in South Queensferry, is for sale with specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

Under the ownership of Paul Steward for the last ten years, The Boathouse has built a strong local following and an excellent reputation. Currently successfully run as a bistro and seafood restaurant, it is felt that The Boathouse could serve a variety of international cuisines.

The business is housed in a building which, from the bistro, enjoys spectacular uninterrupted views overlooking the Firth of Forth and the Forth Bridge – thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition to this 50-cover bistro, a 40-cover seafood restaurant housed in an adjacent area offers a more traditional and elegant styling, compared to the modern feel of the bistro.

The Boathouse has grown over the last ten years with the addition of further adjacent property, and there remains further development potential which could yield significant turnover and profitability benefits.

Christie + Co is seeking offers over £1.2 million for the freehold.
