Why a planned maintenance regime can save you money and stress

By James Russell: Why a planned maintenance regime can save you money and stress

August 19, 2014

Given the significant capital outlay on your kitchen equipment, and bearing in mind that its smooth operation is fundamental to your business, keeping it in tip top condition is vital. There is never a good time for a break down and hungry, disgruntled customers are every caterer’s worse nightmare. Imagine mountains of dirty crockery due to a broken dishwasher or, much worse, empty plates because the oven is stone cold. These scenarios are never going to be good for your reputation.

Added to which, budget cuts and economic constraints mean that greater demands are being made of equipment as appliances are replaced less and less frequently. This makes a good, planned preventative maintenance regime from a reputable company like TWO Services, even more crucial.

Regular servicing by trained professionals will:

  1. Maintain optimum appliance performance
  2. Reduce the risk of costly breakdowns by spotting and fixing issues before they cause a problem, thus preventing disruption to service
  3. Prolong the life of hard working equipment, saving money in the long run
  4. Ensure you are complying with Health & Safety legislation

Flexible plans

Our planned preventative maintenance plans are really flexible. You can choose from six or twelve monthly inspections and even a “labour comprehensive” contract that covers you for any reactive calls and labour.

Every visit includes inspecting for wear and tear, making any machine adjustments, checking gas ranges and carbon monoxide emissions, replacing worn components and lubricating moving parts. A gas safety inspection certificate (where appropriate) is issued at every service visit.

Safety first

TWO Services engineers are Gas Safe Registered and accredited under the company’s CHAS and Safe Contractor schemes. They are highly qualified with ComCat 1, 2, 3 and 5 and continually trained by leading manufacturers including Rational and Winterhalter.

Repairs and emergencies

And after all that – what if you do need a rapid response for a sudden emergency? That’s where our ISO 9001 quality management system comes into its own – with the right levels of prioritisation to respond in a way that keeps you in control and able to maintain service.

Our engineers’ vans are well stocked with parts for most leading makes of equipment and with deliveries every day from our suppliers, we’re never short of components. That means they can normally carry out repairs on the spot, getting you up and running again without delay.

Why not give TWO Services a call today on 0800 22 44 33 to discuss a maintenance plan that’s right for you? If you need kitchen or ductwork cleaning and equipment supply, we can quote for that too. Mention H&C News for a 10% discount.
