Leon, the naturally fast food chain, has introduced a new range of “Milk Free Shakes” . Made with unsweetened almond milk, they are dairy, gluten, wheat (and guilt) free.
Leon have developed a Vanilla & Date base that naturally sweetens the drinks. There will be three flavours on offer: Original Vanilla, Banana & Cinnamon, and Flaked Chocolate – made with Montezuma chocolate flakes.
Health benefits of almond milk
Back in 2005, before the huge surge in popularity for lactose-free milks, Leon served “Allegra’s Beautiful Juice” – an almond milk based juice with carrot, orange & ginger – so the multitude of health benefits associated with almond milk (“the most important culinary and nutritional nuts in the business” – as Allegra puts it) come as no surprise to the Leon Food Development Team.
These shakes are good for your insides and your outsides. Almonds are famed for their high protein levels, power-pack of minerals and vitamins (especially beneficial to the skin), cholesterol-lowering skills and their mono-unsaturated fats.
First to bring dairy free almond milk to high street

These fast food shakes, which are completely dairy free, prove what Leon always says: there is nothing in the words “fast” or “food” which mean it can’t do you good.
