The Suite, situated on the top floor of the National Football Museum in Manchester, has seen a surge of daytime and early evening event enquiries.
The event space, operated by Kudos, has been overwhelmed by the positive impact of the World Cup on their recent bookings. Many of the enquiries are linked to larger bookings connected to the museum, which allows event organisers to host break-out meetings or start events earlier in the day, before moving across in to the main museum event space.
However, The Suite has seen a 43% increase in year-on-year demand from conference and event organisers.
Much of the increased activity can be attributed to clients wanting to get the most out of the venue by using the additional space for pre-event briefings, event registration, and break-out sessions. However, many clients have been specific in selecting the museum during the run-up to the World Cup, offering delegates an opportunity to use the interactive football games and embrace the atmosphere of the matches being played in Brazil.
Making events engaging
Nicky Pratt, Business Development Director for Kudos said, “There are not many venues in the area that have daytime space linked to a museum that offers interactive or entertainment value, as most of the museums or historic buildings are open to the public during the day and only available for private hire in the evening.
“This combination of space answers the challenge faced by any event organiser – how can I make my event as engaging as possible to get delegates to attend or if for staff, try and make the day different for them.”
