Tesco has just re-launched its Tesco Extra store, at White Cliffs Park, giving Dover shoppers a ‘refreshed’ shopping experience.
But it’s not just about new store layouts and creating a modern and spacious shopping environment with brand new services including a phone shop, Timpson’s, Virgin Travel and a photo shop.
Tesco is also pressing ahead with its foodservice offerings and identifies two further major innovations at the store:
- The store also offers a pizzeria serving freshly made pizzas, new meat, fish and deli counters, and Food to Go offering snacks and meals for those on the move.
- The newly opened bakery will serve freshly made pancakes at its pancake bar.
Although a lot of focus has been on Giraffe and other branded initiatives, it’s worth keeping a close eye on your local branches of Tesco to see what other initiatives they’re launching that will challenge existing foodservices.
