Peach reports brisk trading over the last two months. The Oxfordshire based pub company continues to trade with good like-for-likes, as it has done every year in its 12 year history, hitting 2% above the trade norms in April and May 2014.
New finance director, Joe Garthwaite
Peach also continues to put people as well as great hospitality and systems at the top of its agenda. To that end, the company has announced the appointment of its new finance director, Joe Garthwaite, currently head of merchandising for electrical at Sainsbury’s, who will join the business in September.
“Joe is ex PwC and formerly FD of Bravissimo, the fast growing lingerie business, and joins from Sainsbury’s where he’s been leading finance and merchandising teams across non-food,” says Peach co-founder Hamish Stoddart. “He joins Peach as a partner, bringing FMCG, trading and property acquisition experience with him, to help us grow to a £30 million, 22 pub business, and beyond. He is choosing Peach as he just loves great gastro pubs, and because he wants to be part of a strong team producing great results. We’re pleased to have him on board and to be able to say, our house is his place.”
