Gin & Terrace is a new pop-up gin terrace at Park Plaza County Hall – located minutes from London’s South Bank, showcasing a range of unique and unusual gins by drinks company Hi Spirits.
From 11 July to 7 September, the pop-up bar will serve cocktails by four independent gin brands and events running at the terrace include music sessions, mixology master classes and evening barbecues.
4 distinctive gin brands
The gin brands showcased at Gin & Terrace include Broker’s London Dry Gin – created by two brothers following a 200 year-old recipe and rich with citrus and candied fruit aromas – and King of Soho Dry Gin, celebrating the creative spirit of London’s original artistic hub, Soho, perfumed with earthy and sweet aromas, balanced by grapefruit bitterness. Also served are Blackwoods vintage dry gin, made using a unique blend of botanicals from Shetland, and Nr. 209 Gin, distilled in San Francisco which uses bergamot as a main botanical.
Visitors to Gin & Terrace will be able to order a range of Gin & Tonic cocktails made with these signature brands, as well as take part in master classes to learn more about each gin’s individual traits and how to use them in different drinks. Summer sessions by musicians and DJ’s will entertain drinkers, and barbecue evenings on select nights will make Gin & Terrace a stand out hot spot amongst the South Bank area’s bars and restaurants.
Park Plaza County Hall is a modern, four-star hotel, ideally located minutes from London’s buzzing South Bank and all its attractions, from the London Eye and Aquarium, to the South Bank Centre and the National Theatre. The hotel boasts 398 rooms including seven penthouses, with sweeping views across London. Park Plaza County Hall also includes a fitness centre, L’Italiano family-friendly Italian restaurant focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients and Spectrum bar and cafe.
Entry to the terrace is free with a small charge for the masterclasses. The terrace is open Monday – Friday from 3pm – 11pm and 12 pm – 11pm on Saturdays.
