With nominations for this year’s Late Night Awards closing this Wednesday, the ALMR is reminding both members and non-members to hurry to recognise the best in the late-night sector.
Over 60 nominations across six categories have already been made and the 2014 Late Night Awards looks set to be the fiercest and most competitive yet, with the winners to be announced at the second annual Dusk ‘til Dawn on 14 September at the Birmingham Metropole.
ALMR Strategic Affairs Director and Chair of the Judging Panel, Kate Nicholls said:
“We have been very impressed with the nominations for this year’s awards which have been of the highest quality and really showcased the best the late night sector has to offer. There is real diversity in the late night sector and we are looking forward to recognising and championing this essential part of the UK’s economy.
“Late night hospitality accounts for £66 billion in turnover throughout the country; makes up 8% of business, employs 10% of the workforce and contributes 6% of GDP. We are long-overdue an evening of celebration and acknowledgment of everything the sector has to offer.”
