From 1 September 2014, Charlton House – the specialist in quality employee catering in business and industry environments – will be the primary foodservice provider for all 15 Centrica and British Gas sites across the UK. Serving 15,000 employees and visitors daily, 250 Charlton House staff will operate from offices ranging from Cardiff and Edinburgh to Staines.
The Charlton House reputation for providing workplace meals that are superior in taste, health and competitively priced for employees, together with their consistent commitment to both working in true partnership with clients, and providing the award winning Wellbeingbeingwell healthy eating platform were key factors in securing the contract win with Centrica and British Gas.

Wellbeingbeingwell initiative
Centrica and British Gas employees will benefit from the company’s desire to bring their catering provision in line with today’s high street choices and food industry guidance; with the Wellbeingbeingwell initiative offering employees options of calorie-counted snacks within the ‘Portions’ range, reduced calorie cakes (with 100 fewer calories per serving) and up-weighted vegetable portions to 80g, making a true Five-a-Day portion size.
