Kintail Lodge, the outstanding hotel which enjoys a stunning location alongside the shores of Loch Duich, is being marketed for sale by Christie + Co.
The hotel, on Scotland’s magnificent and rugged west coast, is situated just off the road to Skye and only six miles from one of the region’s main tourist attractions — Eilean Donan Castle, said to be Scotland’s most photogenic castle, which attracts many thousands of visitors each year.
Kintail Lodge has 12 bedrooms, along with a bar, restaurant, conservatory and lounge — it also houses within its grounds a new chalet with two double bedrooms which, alongside a flat in the main hotel building, currently operates as owner’s accommodation.
Additional guest features include a four-bedroom (two twin, two single) Trekkers Lodge and the ‘Wee Bunkhouse’ which has three bunkbeds, sleeping six, and is ideal for walkers and families.
The hotel enjoys excellent year-round trade, with many visitors staying for several days in order to take in all the surrounding sights and attractions. The hotel’s restaurant, a popular dining room with locals and visitors, is also often used for small functions and weddings, catering for up to 30 guests.
The freehold of Kintail Lodge is available for £860,000, and interested parties should contact Ken Sims of Christie + Co in Edinburgh on 0131 557 6666.
