Seasoned, the award winning event caterers, has been awarded the venue management and sole caterer contract at Seventy Eight Bishopsgate, in the City of London.
The appointment follows a competitive tender process managed by St Ethelburga’s, the venue owners. The formal review was triggered by a desire to broaden the appeal and maximise the revenue of the event space.
Destroyed in the ‘Bishopsgate bomb’
The event space is situated within a medieval church which has a unique history. Located on Bishopsgate, in the City, the church was almost completely destroyed in the ‘Bishopsgate bomb’ planted by the IRA in 1993. The church was restored and became an independent charity, managed by St Ethelburga’s as a centre for reconciliation and peace.
The charity generates income from venue hire to support their valuable and much needed work which focuses on working with differences of faith, culture and ideology to transform conflict into new relationships and peaceful communities.
Justine Huxley, Director of St Ethelburga’s said, “We are delighted to be working with Seasoned Events and look forward to making the beauty and uniqueness of our space available more widely.”
Seasoned won the contact having demonstrated their originality, food offer, ability to deliver venue hire revenue and shared ethics of corporate social responsibility.
Chantelle Scullion, Stellar Seller Supremo at Seasoned said “This represents a true partnership in working with the client to deliver great events and create revenue for the charity.”
