Nathan Herrmann has been appointed Selfridges Food and Restaurants Director, from his previous role as Director of Business Planning, which he took up at the retailer last year.
Nathan brings a wealth of strategic experience from his time as a consultant at McKinsey where his clients were major FMCG and international retailers, and through senior positions in business development, strategy and commercial roles.
Led by Nathan, Selfridges’ senior Food and Restaurants team will be bolstered with the appointment of Hannah Bass who joins as Director of Restaurants in July this year, reporting to Nathan and working alongside Nicola Waller, Director of Food.
Hannah will bring strong operational experience and skills to Selfridges’ restaurants. Most recently she has developed new concepts for Richard Caring, setting up new restaurants Jackson + Rye and Grillshack in 2013.
Previously Hannah was Operations Director UK at Hakkasan, overseeing Michelin star restaurants Hakkasan Hanway Place, Hakkasan Mayfair and Yauatcha. While at Hakkasan, Hannah also developed HKK and Sake No Hana restaurants and launched fine dine Japanese restaurant, Chrysan, with celebrated Chef Yoshihiro Murata.
