De Vere Venues, the UK’s number one provider of meeting, training and conference space, has celebrated the official re-launch of Chicheley Hall, Buckinghamshire, with a quintessential British Garden Party.
120 guests, including key clients and local businesses attended the event at the Grade I listed mansion, soaking up both the sunshine and De Vere Venues’ infamous Great British hospitality.
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by a champagne reception and canapés on the front lawn, allowing them to marvel at the venues stunning 18th century architecture and landscaped gardens, with a live jazz band providing musical entertainment. More adventurous guests took part in a selection of activities often used for corporate team-building events, including laser clay pigeon shooting and archery.
Home of the Royal Society
There was also a chance to explore Chicheley Hall, historic home of the Royal Society, with tours of the properties facilities through-out the evening. This included the 48 traditionally styled bedrooms, and 9 high-specification meeting and events spaces, including the Wolfson Centre, a former coach house which has been lovingly restored to include two professional lecture theatres.
Following the tours, and with celebrations in full flow, guests mingled on the lawn, with a glass of Pimms in hand and selection of classic garden-party foods, with a seafood station serving fresh lobster, oysters and crab, hog roast, English deli with meats, salads and pickles, with sweet treats provided via the circulating ice-cream bicycle.
