Bring On The Banger! British Sausage Week 2014

By James Russell: Bring On The Banger! British Sausage Week 2014

June 23, 2014

Be sure to mark your calendar as the dates for the seventeenth annual British Sausage Week have been set! Running from 3 – 9 November, the seven-days of sausage celebrations will provide the perfect platform for pubs and restaurants to raise awareness of quality assured sausages and benefit from increased sales.

With a high profile PR campaign fronted by a British Sausage Week celebrity (soon to be revealed…), the prestigious ‘Banger Awards’ and supporting point-of-sale promotional material, British Sausage Week 2014 promises to be another huge success.

Opportunity to raise awareness – and sales

BPEX foodservice trade manager, Tony Goodger, said: “With hundreds of sausage varieties available, we really are a nation of sausage lovers! The Week provides a fantastic opportunity for the whole industry to get involved and raise awareness of quality sausages, including those produced using Red Tractor pork.

“It is never too early to start planning and looking at ways your business can benefit. Creating new varieties, introducing timely promotions or holding charity events are just some of the ways in which to get involved and boost sales. So if you supply or sell great sausages make a date for British Sausage Week and use it to your advantage.”

British Sausage Week is an annual celebration of the taste, quality and diversity of the traditional sausage. The Week is now a major event which receives a huge amount of publicity and provides a fun and lively way to promote the great tradition of sausage eating in Britain.
