Unilever Food Solutions has teamed up with Bidvest 3663 to transform the face of digital purchasing in foodservice.
Together with Bidvest 3663, Unilever Food Solutions will launch its online ‘Buy It Now’ ecommerce functionality – alongside an online wholesale sample drive with its TRY ME FREE e-voucher, making online purchasing even easier for customers.
Try Me Free
The Try Me Free evoucher will give each of Bidvest 3663’s customers purchasing goods online the chance to sample a free full-size jar of Knorr Create More Spicy Tomato Concentrated Sauce.
Nicholas Weber, head of e-commerce at Bidvest 3663, says: “Research has shown that operators purchasing online want to see more exclusive deals, so we’ve joined forces with Unilever Food Solutions to do just that. But this isn’t your typical free sample. Operators will receive a full-size 1.1 litre sample to try and we’re supporting with recipes, menu ideas and practical tips to help operators get the most out of using the ingredients.
Buy-It-Now ecommerce functionality
The promotion coincides with the launch of the Buy It Now functionality on Unilever Food Solutions’ website, making purchasing easier for the foodservice market.
Customers visiting the leading supplier’s website – www.unileverfoodsolutions.co.uk – will be able to click on a product and purchase it through Bidvest 3663 website.
Geraldine Tosh, Head of Digital, Unilever Food Solutions, says: “The media landscape is changing in foodservice. We know almost 60% of hospitality operators would try online purchasing if it was available, and that convenience and ease of use is key. What’s more, the number of operators ordering online with their delivered wholesaler has doubled.
“We’ve responded to this and made online ordering even easier. Instead of reading about our products on our website and having to remember the details for a future order, we’ve made it really simple. Chefs and purchasing teams can now order our ingredients with the click of a mouse direct from our website through to Bidvest 3663.”
