Bella Italia, the family-friendly Italian restaurant chain, has rebranded in preparation for England’s kick off match against Italy on Saturday 14 June 2014. For a limited time only, in support of Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and the rest of the team, Bella Italia will be known as… Bella Inghilterra!
Kicking off in Huntingdon
The rebrand began today at the Bella Inghilterra site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, which opened in October 2013. As the new signage was unveiled to the public this morning, the chefs got in the football spirit with an impromptu game of kick ups. The team also created a special England pizza, with bell peppers and mozzarella to make St George’s Cross, all while proudly showing off their new Bella Inghilterra uniforms.
The Huntingdon location was opened as part of the brand’s on-going expansion and refurbishment project, which will see many restaurants refurbished, and another 15 new sites opened, over the next year. The Huntingdon restaurant boasts a modern Mediterranean colour scheme, cosy lighting and a cool, comfortable atmosphere, with details that are unique to that restaurant, including an air-fix style exploded Vespa; a very stylish centrepiece!
Nick White, Managing Director at Bella Inghilterra, commented: “While Mario Balotelli might not see England as a threat to Italy’s chances of success, here at Bella Inghilterra we totally disagree, and we will be cheering on England during the match.
“To show our undivided support, we wanted to rebrand in honour of the team, and were thrilled to unveil our new banners in Huntingdon today. Bella Italia translates as beautiful Italy, so Bella Inghilterra, as beautiful England, is a perfect recognition of our love of the beautiful game. Come on England!”

About Bella Italia
Bella Italia is part of the Tragus Group. The first Bella Italia was opened in the early 1990s to tap into the UK’s growing appetite for Italian cuisine. The brand was transformed under Tragus’ ownership, and is now more popular than ever. With revitalised restaurant interiors, a broader menu and the development of external dining areas, Bella Italia has been repositioned as the UK’s premier all-day Italian caffé. With restaurants across the country, including sites in Center Parcs and recent openings in Huntingdon and Silverlink, it’s a brand that’s going from strength to strength.
