The Barbican has announced it is seeking dynamic and innovative contract catering partners, with suitable experience and resources, to provide contemporary food and beverage offers for its restaurants, cafés and business events. The new catering contracts – for revenues exceeding £5.5 million – will start in summer 2015.

Three Lots can be tendered for, either in combination, or singly: Lot 1 Events and Exhibition – annual turnover of £2.1M; Lot 2 Cafés and Coffee – annual turnover of £2.5M and Lot 3 Restaurants/Members Room – annual turnover of £1.0M.

The barbican states that they wish to explore the widest possible range of operators. If you are a restaurateur interested in understanding more about Lot 3 specifically, please contact Lot3.cateringtender@barbican.org.uk by 5pm on 19 June 2014.

Great eating spaces for diverse audiences

When you log onto the site (1) Click on “Supplier’s Area”; (2) Click “Register for free”. Once you have registered your company’s details, you will be led through a number of steps, expressing interest in relevant catering related areas. When the Barbicans’s contract is live you will be sent an alert. You can then register your interest in the contract and be automatically sent the pre-qualification questionnaire from June 20th All communication about the catering tender will be conducted through the London Tenders Portal.

This is a services concession contract exempt from public procurement regulations. We will conduct a fair and transparent process.
