SK Events, organiser of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, has announced that publican turned celebrity chef, Tom Kerridge, will headline this year’s line-up of celebrity chefs. The annual event, now in its seventh year, is set to take place in the city’s Sefton Park from 19 to 21 September.
Celebration of Liverpool’s thriving food and drink scene
Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is an outdoor celebration of the city’s thriving food and drink scene, which sees more than 160 local chefs and producers descend on one of the city’s most beautiful parks. The event features a street food zone, an edible garden, a chocolate area, a pop-up restaurant and a producers’ marketplace, showcasing everything from posh pork pies, cheeses and olives to coffee, fudge and liqueurs. There will also be a fine dining experience, a real ale festival, craft beers, a children’s zone, as well as a whole programme of masterclasses and celebrity chef demos.
Keen to see what the city has to offer
Tom Kerridge, the only chef to have received two Michelin stars for pub grub, said: “I really like the sound of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival with the city’s pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and producers taking over Sefton Park for the weekend. The north west is gaining quite a reputation for its booming food and drink scene and I’m keen to see what the city has to offer.”
Denise Harris, director of SK Events, the company behind Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, is looking forward to welcoming Tom Kerridge to Liverpool Food and Drink Festival. She said:

Once the weekend launch event comes to an end, festivities are set to continue for the rest of the week with a programme of food and drink events at restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, and arts venues across the city.
