The Waldorf Hilton, London, has appointed Robert Prendergast as its executive head chef. Robert was previously executive head chef at Grosvenor Guoman Hotel, Victoria, and brings with him more than 16 years’ culinary experience. Prendergast prides himself on delivering excellence and is passionate about creating inspirational menus and developing creative dining concepts.
During his career, Prendergast has had the opportunity to travel, working in Cardiff, Ireland and Hong Kong, where he spent time learning the secrets of Asian food. He also worked alongside celebrity restaurateur, Brian Turner, and prior to his current role, gained experience at renaissance Hotel group and InterContinental.
Chef Prendergast will be heading up the hotel’s Homage Grand Salon restaurant, renowned for its European cuisine and quintessential English afternoon tea. With its rich heritage spanning more than 100 years, Prendersgast will be joining a long line of accomplished chefs to celebrate the history of the hotel through its culinary offering.
