Zolfo Cooper, the leading independent provider of advisory and restructuring services, has sold the 71-room Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel in Corby operated by Barinbrook Limited (formerly Akkeron Hotels (Admiral) Limited).
This sale ensures the future of an important local business and secures the jobs of 51 employees. It follows the successful sale of six other hotels operated by the Barinbrook group as a going concern earlier this year, saving an additional 172 jobs.
Nick Cropper, Partner at Zolfo Cooper, said: “We are delighted with the outcome achieved and would like to thank the staff for their support and professionalism during this process.”
Since 2010 Zolfo Cooper has worked on hotel advisory and restructuring cases with total debts of over £1.6 billion and involving more than 9,000 bedrooms. Zolfo Cooper’s restructuring team aims to provide the optimum returns for stakeholders in businesses which are no longer trading effectively and identifying the best disposal opportunities is part of that commitment.
