Davy’s for breakfast!

By James Russell: Davy’s for breakfast!

May 18, 2014

Wine has been at the heart of Davy’s since it was founded by Francis Edwin Davy in 1870. Their unique relationships with the world’s finest wine makers and Châteaux go back five generations, and they still select, ship and store their own wines.

However, Davy’s moves with the times and, recognising that breakfast is a growing occasion in London, Davy’s has started to offer breakfast – with great success.

Breakfasts, especially in their smaller meeting rooms (such as  Champagne Charlies in Charing Cross, illustrated above)  are proving a popular commodity with customers. They enjoy being out of the office and getting the 5 star service they have come to expect from Davy’s.

The food is excellent, and it’s cheaper than renting a meeting space elsewhere, as it’s free.

In the first week of trading, Davy’s breakfast covers rose by 42% across the Wine Bars. And the customers love the loyalty mechanic of buy 5, get the 6th free!

Customer feedback will, of course, enable Davy’s to refine and develop the offer, but it’s already clear that they’ll be building on success.
