Construction work is underway on Hampshire’s Whiteley Shopping Centre’s second phase, which includes more restaurants, leisure space and a nine-screen Cineworld cinema. The extension is due to open in summer 2015 and will be located at the north of the scheme near to The Entertainer and Montagu’s.
Five Guys, Nando’s, PizzaExpress, Coast to Coast
Five new restaurants will add to the already tempting dining offer available at Whiteley Shopping. The restaurants will include Five Guys known for its 250,000 possible ways to order a burger, Nando’s with its original brand of South African casual dining, PizzaExpress, and Coast to Coast an American style restaurant and bar. The line-up will also be joined by one more restaurant, which will be announced later in the year.
The £18 million dining and cinema extension will help boost the local economy by providing over 180 new jobs as well as temporary jobs during the construction phase.
Neil Carter, Centre Manager for Whiteley Shopping, said: “The new phase will be a brilliant addition to the already great shopping and dining experience at Whiteley. Shoppers will now have an even wider choice of places to eat, drink and be entertained late into the evening.”
