By James Russell: Nurturing the hospitality talent of the future – The Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg trip

Villeroy & Boch is renowned for nurturing young talent in the hospitality sector. Each year, the iconic tableware brand takes the winners of the Master Chefs of Great Britain Young Chef of the Year, the British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year, the Craft Guild of Chefs Graduate Award Acheivers, and the Acorn Scholar of the Year for a 2-day study tour of Villeroy & Boch’s home in Luxembourg and Germany.

This year, the trip included a visit to the Villeroy & Boch production and decoration centres in Mettlach, lunch at Castle Saareck, a visit to the Villeroy & Boch museum and culminated in a dinner at the Windsor Restaurant in Luxembourg. The next day followed with a showroom visit, al fresco lunch at Restaurant Aubergine and completed with a walking tour of the historic Luxembourg City.
