Juan Asín has been appointed the General Manager of ME London, bringing 20 years of experience in the hotel industry to the team, having held a number of senior posts, both with Meliá Hotels International and with other major companies, such as Park Hyatt and Westin, in London and abroad.
Alex Hugot, VP of ME by Meliá, said of the appointment: ‘Juan is one of the very best General Managers we have in the group and we are delighted that he will now be leading the team at our flagship hotel, ME London. The hotel had a very successful launch year in 2013 and Juan is just the character, with his passion, experience and drive, to ensure that this success continues.’
Before being appointed this role, Juan worked as the General Manager of Meliá Luxemburg for a number of years and before that, Hotel Manager of Meliá White House. Juan is known for his excellent leadership and motivational skills, always getting the very best from his team. He is results-driven and adapts quickly to any given situation, seeking out solutions, whilst being approachable and seeking support from his team. Juan is a graduate from Cornell University, is fluent in four languages and enjoys cycling and sports in his spare time.
