Kudos, part of the Crown Group, has won the contract to provide catering for visitors on the Coronation Street Tour at Quay Street in Manchester.
The Coronation Street set, which has recently relocated to MediaCity, Trafford, is now fully operational and has left behind the old set at the Quay Street Studios with all its history and heritage dating back to the 1950’s.
Coronation Street – The Tour
With the new studios fully operational and the old set still standing, ITV and Continuum Leading Attractions have worked together to turn the former set into an attraction, Coronation Street – The Tour. The tour will give people the unique opportunity to walk along the cobbles of the nation’s street.
Subsequently, Continuum Leading Attractions launched a formal tender for the catering of the tour.
Kudos won the contract having demonstrated a complete understanding of the Coronation Street brand, and proposing a comprehensive, tailored level of creativity in the delivery of the customer experience at Coronation Street which included coffee shops and street food concepts. Kudos fully embraced the Coronation Street branding along with the quirky story line and characters.

“Our experience of managing cafes and running the crew-catering facilities at MediaCity gives us a unique combination of understanding consumer demands as well as the insights to how film crews operate around a production studio. This will allow us to offer visitors on the tour a very unique and true reflection of what life was like on the set.”
