Gordon Ramsay Group has acquired the site of the former Aubergine restaurant where Gordon had his first Head Chef position and where he won his first brace of Michelin Stars.

Aubergine at 11 Park Walk in Chelsea was owned by A-Z Restaurants and opened under Gordon Ramsay as Head Chef in 1993. Gaining two Michelin Stars in 1997, which it held until Ramsay left the restaurant in 1998. It subsequently held a single Michelin star under William Drabble until he left the restaurant in 2009. Aubergine closed in 2010.

Stuart Gillies, Managing Director, Gordon Ramsay Group commented: “The signing of the new site is very exciting for us as a Group as we continue to explore new opportunities. 11 Park Walk is steeped in history and it’s so nice to be back in there, bringing together everything we’ve learnt along the way.”

And Gordon Ramsay enthused: “I’m so excited to announce a return to this site!  It was 21 years ago that I first started there and it’s a site that is really close to be heart with so many fond memories! It’s amazing to reflect on how far we’ve come since then and I can’t wait to get it open.”
