CityA.M. reports that Caffe Nero is planning to open another 225 stores across the UK over the next five years – on top of its recently announced expansion plans in Ireland.
The plan is to open between 40 and 45 stores in the UK each year, and roughly the same number overseas.
At present, Caffe Nero has over 500 coffee shops in the UK, as well as shops in Cyprus, Poland, Turkey and the Middle East.
This follows its £275 million refinancing of its debts, which Chief Executive Gerry Ford stated at the time would enable them to continue strong store growth.
