Chefs Jobs UK are looking for a strong Sous Chef, to work in a pioneering award winning, 17th century coaching inn, featured as one of the top gastro pubs awards 2013 and in a stunning location nestled on the Fylde Coast.
This position would be suited to an ambitious, creative and passionate chef looking to be part of an established team of 5 consisting of Head Chef, 2 Junior Sous, CDP and apprentice chef. This is an opportunity to be involved in a fast moving and ever expanding environment where ambition is of the essence and flair and a creative mind is a must. The menu is British modern yet traditional with all ingredients locally sourced and everything freshly made on site including fish and game dishes.
You would be required to cover Head Chef days off so experience would be necessary in stock taking, ordering, maintaining GP percentages and general managing of the kitchen.
The bar area seats up to a maximum of 160 covers and is consistently busy. The hours of work would be a minimum of 40, with 2 flexible days off, lunch is served from 12-2pm and evening service 5.30pm-9pm, Sundays hours are 12pm-8.30. Breakfast is also served from 7am-10am but you would not be required to work this shift.
The hotel boasts 14 stunning bedrooms on site each one tastefully and uniquely designed.
Accommodation for this position would be a private cottage located near the hotel and for the right candidate could be negotiable as part of the salary package. There is Wifi on site and you will be able to use the facilities of a small gym attached to the hotel.
