Mother’s Day is going to be a lively occasion for managed pub and bar group TCG, which is encouraging groups of young mums to book a babysitter and head out for a party.
The company, which operates many town centre and destination venues, is organising Mother’s Day celebrations for a different maternal demographic to most operators. Selected TCG venues around the UK will be holding ‘Mums Rock’ events across the weekend of Friday 28 to Sunday 30 March.
On offer will be a specially created ‘Mother’s Magic’ cocktail at a two-for-one price, as well as a free bottle of prosecco for groups of six or more mums. DJs, live music and dancing will ensure that mum’s big day is a real night to remember.
Ben Levick director of operations – bars at TCG, said: “The typical Mother’s Day offer focuses on family meals and a fairly restrained celebration. That’s great in the right style of operation, but many of our young bars have a very different target customer.
“There are plenty of young – and young-at-heart – mums, juggling jobs and family, for whom a rare night out with the girls is a very appealing prospect. Our ‘Mums Rock’ events are a reward for mums who may not fit the conventional Mother’s Day stereotype, but deserve to know that their hard work and commitment is appreciated just as much.”
