Ever popular Spanish tapas bar and restaurant chain, La Tasca, is continuing its quest to grow its market share with the launch of yet another six figure initiative, that will see more than half of its restaurants benefit from refurbishments as well as a number of innovative stand-alone bars introduced to high streets up and down the country.
The new move comes hot on the heels of another strong financial year that has resulted in double-digit growth for the lively Spanish eatery, and will see over half of its UK based restaurants given significant interior makeovers.
Innovative, stand-alone bars
The exciting project which is being headed up by Group Operations Director James Picton will also see La Tasca venture into new waters, by launching a string of innovative stand-alone bars which will range from high end cava bars; serving top quality cava’s, spirits and cocktails, to lively chupitos bars; which offer customers an extensive selection Spain’s most popular shots, not to mention the UK’s first Sangria bar (pictured above: Bar de Sangria)!
The aim is to appeal to key demographics of the particular locations and innovate the casual dining market with new concepts and new ways of servicing fickle diners.
Speaking about La Tasca’s new stand-alone bar concept, James said:
“We are continuing to innovate the La Tasca brand with a view to challenge a lot of misconceptions that people have about the brand. It’s not what it was three years ago. We are taking La Tasca in an exciting new direction and our stand alone bars are just part of the strategy! Early indications show this is the right move for the brand, which has seen a significant increase in bar sales year on year.”
