The Abinger Cookery School is an innovative new cookery school in Surrey set up by a niche team of culinary enthusiasts – life time foodie and majority owner, Lewis Davies, chef, Vincent Clist and gastro ski holiday company, Fish & Pip.
“Intent on offering courses which reflect the way we eat now and current food trends, the selection of courses available at The Abinger are upbeat, modern and fun – equipping you both with basic cooking skills as well as how to cook food we all want to eat. From Dude Food which celebrates our current love for ‘American Diner’ style dishes, here you can learn what is cool to cook right now such as pulled pork shoulder and slaw while Best of British celebrates our green and pleasant land where seasonal cooking takes centre stage.”
Chalet courses
An added extra ingredient to The Abinger Cookery School are their Chalet Courses which are run in association with Fish & Pips, the gastro chalet ski holiday company set up by Holly Chandler and Phillipa Hartley in 2006. A five day course, Vinny personally tutors pupils on all areas of Chalet Cooking from planning and budgeting menus as well as executing them.
The Abinger
A former pub, which has been completely refurbished, The Abinger offers not only a place to learn to cook but also somewhere to stay. Six double bedrooms above the school offer stylish and contemporary accommodation in which to relax after a hard days cooking, and are ideal for their two day plus cookery courses.
