Time is running out for potential buyers to register their interest in the landmark Heywood Mount Hotel in Tenby – which is being marketed by Colliers International on behalf of the LPA Receivers.
Described as the town’s leading hotel, Heywood Mount closed earlier this month. Colliers International Hotels Director Peter Brunt said the four-star Visit Wales Gold Award hotel had attracted lots of interest and a number of viewings had been held:
“People in this part of Wales clearly have great affection for the hotel and there is a recognition that it can be returned to its rightful place as an important location in Tenby. Following the very sad closure of the hotel and our marketing of it on behalf of the LPA Receivers, we have had a great deal of interest expressed.
“We now need to reach a point when we can see who is the best placed buyer so that we can move the transaction to the next stage – the selection of a preferred bidder with whom we hope to be able to conclude a sale.”
The hotel boasts 25 bedrooms with a flexible restaurant and function room which made Heywood Mount a popular venue for wedding parties. It stands on the edge of the town within easy walking distance of the walled centre and Tenby’s picturesque harbour and beaches.Leisure facilities include a pool and gymnasium.
