BII Licensee of the Year Award finalists

By James Russell: BII Licensee of the Year Award finalists

March 26, 2014

Finalists in the 29th British Institute of Innkeeping Licensee of the Year Award have been unveiled ahead of the awards ceremony which will be held at the BII Annual Luncheon on 13 May.

The accolade is the culmination of the pub trade’s longest-running pub trade award scheme, with finalists having gone through four intensive judging stages to reach this stage, including a judging day where they are grilled by three separate panels of industry experts.

The BII’s Licensee of the Year Award recognises the cream of the UK’s publicans who must demonstrate their business acumen, outstanding operational skills, team building prowess, excellent customer service standards and the ability to innovate and adapt to this challenging market – as well as showing a passion for the trade that drives them to the top of their game.

“Make no mistake, if you claim the title of BII Licensee of the Year, you really are the best of the best.” said Tim Hulme, BII Chief Executive. “This is the toughest competition in the market and to have got to this stage represents a major achievement for all our finalists – so congratulations to them, and I look forward to announcing our 2014 winner on May 13th.”
