The Headland picked up two prestigious awards at the end of January at the annual South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2013-14.
The Headland Cottages were awarded ‘Gold’ in the ‘Self Catering Establishment of the Year’ category whilst The Headland Hotel was awarded ‘Silver’ in the ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ category. This started 2014 on an upwards trend and these wins cement the investments The Headland have made over the past year including the unveiling of Cornwall’s largest, and only, five bubble rated spa.
The Headland Spa – Cornwall’s largest!
Covering an area of around 8880 sq ft with direct access to Fistral Beach, The Headland Spa is drawing new visitors to The Headland but also to the region.
A new gym designed by LifeFitness has also been unveiled and covers an area of 840 sq ft and this too has opened up the options available not only to hotel guests but to local Cornwall residents.
More recognition
These new wins follow other recent wins at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2013/14 where The Headland Hotel won two awards; Gold for Large Hotel of the Year and The Headland Cottages won Gold for Self Catering Establishment of the Year.
The Headland is home to a 96 bedroom hotel and 39 5 star self-catering cottages. With three ocean facing restaurants – The Restaurant, The Terrace and the new Spa Lounge – all serving Cornish cuisine, there are now more dining options available for hotel residents and locals.
